She was looking fine is the only thing I could think about as I sat there in front of her apartment. Looked much better than she did in her photos I saw online. I guess most people aren't very photogenic. I know I am not. I guess I should back up and tell you about meeting her and stuff. As you know I had Peter my friend the photographer take some pictures of me with his uber setup and man they turned out great. I decided to go with a black and white for my online profile pics. I used 5 pictures all showing me at various angles and in different settings and there are no pics of me with my shirt off. As tempting as it is to put those kinds of pictures up, they are a turn off to a lot of women. As I was reading other girl's profiles some of them specifically said do not bother messaging me if your picture is you with your shirt off. I think you have to build comfort with a woman first and you want to convey the idea of non threatening at first, you can get to the sexy stuff later once they trust you. So yeah redid the profile with the good new pictures tried to make it as intelligent and as classy as possible and that is what is working for me. Of course it means nothing unless I target the right kind of girl that will respond to a profile like that which is what I want.

So far I am talking to 5 girls actively but these are all high quality women that I would hook up with. They have the physical and emotional characteristics that I am looking for however one of them, the one I like the most has two kids. I am not so sure if I want to attach myself to that kind of baggage right now but she seems like such a down to Earth sexy girl. Wow I can hear people yelling "fuck you" and banging around in there kitchen lol. Anyways, you think there are nice places in the world, but then you go there and finally find a nice place and what happens? Someone yells fuck you or someone writes fuck you and then you are depressed again realizing that no nice places exist in the world. That is a reference from The Catcher in the Rye in case you don't know. If you haven't read that book then well you are behind in the times yo. Anyhoo, so I'm waiting in line at the bank, oh wait that's Andrew Dice Clay... oh yeah so I'm chatting with this girl who has the two kids and she is all like we should go out for coffee sometime and I am like sounds good so we met up 3 days ago at this coffee place here in Philly called La Colombe Torrefaction Inc. It is all swanky and shit. Oh wait I was first talking about another date I had... I will tell that story later this one is more recent.

Her name is Fiona and and she is really petite and 27. She works in a lab as an assistant which sound kinda cool and I can picture her with those cute glasses on and a white lab coat We sat and had coffee and I was just looking at her the whole time like damn this girl is so cute. She is attractive and hot and shit but cute was the word that kept popping up in my mind. I like cute girls. She told me she was in a long term relationship and she was wary about guys cuz her last guy cheated on her and now she is not sure what to trust. There wasn't much I could say to that, I mean words means nothing. We sat there for a long time and drank coffee and talked about various things and life in general, though my thoughts may be wrong, they may even be perverted, she'll hear me out and won't easily be converted to my way of thinking. In fact she will often disagree. Those are lyrics from the song "Somebody" by Depeche Mode. Anyways, so after we were done coffee I asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner but she said no because she had to do a lot of work that night for the next day for some big project so we just said goodbye outside the coffee shop but I was able to kiss her before she left. I have been chatting with her all the time now on the phone and gonna see her again this weekend.

Hello everyone, let me start by apologizing for the big 60 day gap between blog posts. I was in France for the last 2 months. I won a cooking contest and won a trip to France to go spend some time at the Cordon Bleu school in Paris. It was the most amazing time wow. I really like French girls now, ok well I always did heh. I learned a lot when I was there and met a lot of cool people and ate a lot of good food. I canceled my online dating subscription before I left because I knew I wasn't going to be available to go on any dates cuz I would be out of the country. Now I am back and I fully intend to get back into the dating scene.

I am going to rejoin the online dating site tomorrow because today I want to spend some time thinking about everything I want to put in my profile. I also want to use some better pictures so I have to take new ones today. I am going to get my friend Peter to help me because he is a photography nut and he has like a $1000 camera and shit so not only can he take some great pics but the equipment he has will make me look like Diana Ross (movie reference from "Roxanne" starring Steve Martin).

I was still talking to some of the girls I met on the site and went on dates with but none of those girls are really relationship material in my mind so I have basically let those conversations go stale and I am thinking I am just going to start over and talk to new girls with my newly improved profile. There are lots of new people that join the site everyday and because it has been almost two months I know there are hundreds of new girls for me to look at. Perhaps this was the way things were meant to be. Perhaps me going to France was exactly what I needed to do timing wise in order to meet the girl of my dreams on the online dating site. Perhaps if I stayed here I would have ended up hooking up permanently with one of the girls I was courting and then 5 years down the line the relationship would have ended badly. I know I am just speculating but that is usually how my luck goes. I was feeling like wow I am lucky to have won this award but it wasn't luck it was skill. At any rate, I will update this blog again very soon once I redo my profile and send out some messages to some girls. I doubt anything substantial is going to happen this weekend cuz it is already Friday and my shit still isn't even up yet. I will probably just chill with the boys this weekend, I mean UFC is tomorrow night anyways.

Last night I took the redhead named Sharon to La Baia Bistro on Lombard St. I say took, but for some reason she wanted to meet me there. This was my first date with a girl I had met online so I figured this type of meeting arrangement was standard fare. I am familiar with this french restaurant but I have never been there before. My other chef buddies though told me it was great... we shall see.. being a chef myself, I have very high expectations of french cuisine, especially at the price they charge. Remember I can cook anything you see in a fancy restaurant at home for a fraction of the price... not that I can't afford it, I just know how much it really costs to make these dishes.... ok enough with the I am a cheapo rant.

I walk in an tell her I am joining someone and quickly scan the room. I notice her at a table on her cell phone. What the heck, why is she on her cell phone I thought... hopefully giggling with a friend etc - I will never know. I approach the table and she stands up to give me a hug/kiss type of deal and my only thought was wow she has huge breasts... and I think they are fake. I do not like fake breasts... now I am going to spend the entire night wondering if they are real or not sigh... I decided to get this out of the way and she said yes they are fake. At that point I was heartbroken and was totally looking at her differently now. I ordered a rum and coke and I don't remember what she had.

The food was good, and I am glad it was good because that was the only thing that was good about the evening. Even though her face was attractive I simply couldn't get over the fact that she had fake breasts I was tempted to say I was going to the bathroom and just leave lol. I decided to stick it out though and last the whole evening. I was half listening to her as she rambled on about her life story... blah blah blah... I don't remember half the stuff she said and the half I do remember was totally uninteresting.

After dinner as we were walking toward the exit of the restaurant she said lets go to 12 Steps Down which is a club/bar/lounge down on Christian st but I lied and told her I had a pounding headache and that we should call it a night. She said Oh... and then just stood there frozen in shock, I reached forward gave her a kiss on the cheek and said something useless then turned and walked toward my car. I didn't want to turn and look back but I'm pretty sure she was still just standing there in disbelief. So my first date with someone I met online didn't go so well... perhaps I need to ask these girls a few questions before I go wasting my time on someone fake.

I love The Killers. I've always wanted to meet a girl who loves the killers also. One of my favorite songs is Smile Like You Mean It. I see people everyday smile without meaning it. So I decided today to only smile when I meant it and I went on a smilefest going up to people and randomly smiling to see what their reaction would be. I was surprised although I shouldn't be that people could not help but smile back. I found this girl who was dressed in all black with piercings etc... she looked young and was trying to act sullen and angry. I went up to her and just started smiling, at first she was like wtf, but then she started smiling, and then started blushing. We talked for about 10 minutes and she gave me her phone number. She said she was 18 and was working at Walmart instead of going to school. I never really got to the heart of the reason why but perhaps she will let me know later. Sometimes my friends think that I am an EMO fag but I just think I am sensitive and more aware of things than they are if that makes any sense. I went over to Bistro Romano on Lombard St to visit my friend who is a chef there and told him the story of the smiling and the goth girl and he just lol'd. He is the only one that gets me heh but perhaps that's because he is a bit like me too... he likes the killers. I continued on walking on the way to work with my ipod on and the killers playing in my head smiling at everyone who pasts. At one point, I am talking EVERYONE, even dudes. One guy actually got mad and said something but of course I didn't hear anything cuz I had my music on. Tomorrow I am going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to pickup chicks, I mean to soak up some art
