I have been considering starting text message dating... Essentially it is similar to on line chatting except that you send text messages and get to meet up with brand new people that way. I thought it'd be great to give it a try due to the fact I am continuously using my Blackberry. I eventually signed up to TextNDate and gave it a try. A buddy of mine sent me the url through Facebook and actually hyped it up, so i decided what the hell.

Straight away I met this young lady from Chestnut Hill. This lady sounded pretty interesting, works out we enjoy many of the very same music and movies, and went to the same college. We actually made plans to go out this friday for a movie so I'll post how it went (and if interacting with ladies using your cellular telephone truly works out).

I matched tons of additional girls also, some good and some somewhat odd, nevertheless I made the decision only to focus on a couple of mainly because it is a good deal to keep track of! I wish I can figure out how to consolidate my contacts on my cell phone, that would help to make this a ton less difficult to deal with. There are actually a surprising level of ladies by Philadelphia to choose from.

The best element about that was I could send out laid-back messages even though I had been in the office, at the mall, anything, just like I had been texting my guys... I have gone out a few times with Fiona but I still have not slept with her. I figured I would have been able to bang her by now but it just hasn't worked out. I am not sure if she is the right girl for me. What I decided to do this morning is to start punking her off. I am going to cancel my plans with her for this weekend and she how she responds. I have been giving her far too much of my time without getting any poon. That shit does not fly and that is not how I roll. It will be interesting to see how she responds when I start to be cold on MSN and shit. I need to test her and see how much she really likes me, hell I might even come right out and ask her why we haven't had sex yet. I should really do that because I said I was going to try and be as honest as possible this time around when it comes to dealing with women and shit but that is easier said than done. Let's see how this tactic goes first. It's always what I wanted to have a chick that is cool and understands me and tolerates me and has a nice personality and is not a dead fish. I don't know why I keep meeting this women that have no personality or passion. Maybe I am being punished for something I did in another life.

Anyways like I said before I was talking to like 8 different girls. That number is down to like 4 now. Some of them I simply never see on MSN anymore so I can only assume that they have deleted me from their contact list or maybe even blocked me lol who knows. So I got these 4 different girls that I am working on. A couple of them actually have a personality which has been nice. Sometimes I meet girls and then get them on MSN and then once I start talking to them on MSN they just sit there and I have to ask them a million questions and they never ask me any. The thing is, that some of them will literally just sit there and answer anything I ask them. They are very forthcoming but they never initiate anything and I think that speaks volumes about their personality or lack of it I guess. One girl named Monica has 2 kids but she is really hot and she works out 5 days a week. She showed me a picture of her in Cuba last year and she is like ripped with a 6 pack and shit.

I told her we should get together for coffee sometime so on Sunday I told her to meet me at this cool coffee shop called
Walnut Bridge Coffee House. The place is pretty cool inside and it wasn't that busy. I got there a bit early and managed to scope out a nice booth where I could see everything in the place. I dunno why but I like having my back to a wall so I can see everything just like Shane did Most people will not get that reference unless you have read the book Shane which I did obviously duh. She arrived about 5 minutes late which is fine, sometimes girls arrive really late and that pisses me off because I hate sitting there like a donkey wondering if I got stood up or not. She was really cute in real life and we chatted for a couple of hours there over coffee and I was really impressed by the fact that she DID have passion and did have an interesting personality. I wanted to take the date over to a restaurant so we could grab dinner but she said she had to go and meet her family for dinner and I understood that. I wanted to kiss her when we left but the opportunity never presented itself. I have been chatting with her a bit since then and she wants to go out again this coming weekend.

She was looking fine is the only thing I could think about as I sat there in front of her apartment. Looked much better than she did in her photos I saw online. I guess most people aren't very photogenic. I know I am not. I guess I should back up and tell you about meeting her and stuff. As you know I had Peter my friend the photographer take some pictures of me with his uber setup and man they turned out great. I decided to go with a black and white for my online profile pics. I used 5 pictures all showing me at various angles and in different settings and there are no pics of me with my shirt off. As tempting as it is to put those kinds of pictures up, they are a turn off to a lot of women. As I was reading other girl's profiles some of them specifically said do not bother messaging me if your picture is you with your shirt off. I think you have to build comfort with a woman first and you want to convey the idea of non threatening at first, you can get to the sexy stuff later once they trust you. So yeah redid the profile with the good new pictures tried to make it as intelligent and as classy as possible and that is what is working for me. Of course it means nothing unless I target the right kind of girl that will respond to a profile like that which is what I want.

So far I am talking to 5 girls actively but these are all high quality women that I would hook up with. They have the physical and emotional characteristics that I am looking for however one of them, the one I like the most has two kids. I am not so sure if I want to attach myself to that kind of baggage right now but she seems like such a down to Earth sexy girl. Wow I can hear people yelling "fuck you" and banging around in there kitchen lol. Anyways, you think there are nice places in the world, but then you go there and finally find a nice place and what happens? Someone yells fuck you or someone writes fuck you and then you are depressed again realizing that no nice places exist in the world. That is a reference from The Catcher in the Rye in case you don't know. If you haven't read that book then well you are behind in the times yo. Anyhoo, so I'm waiting in line at the bank, oh wait that's Andrew Dice Clay... oh yeah so I'm chatting with this girl who has the two kids and she is all like we should go out for coffee sometime and I am like sounds good so we met up 3 days ago at this coffee place here in Philly called La Colombe Torrefaction Inc. It is all swanky and shit. Oh wait I was first talking about another date I had... I will tell that story later this one is more recent.

Her name is Fiona and and she is really petite and 27. She works in a lab as an assistant which sound kinda cool and I can picture her with those cute glasses on and a white lab coat We sat and had coffee and I was just looking at her the whole time like damn this girl is so cute. She is attractive and hot and shit but cute was the word that kept popping up in my mind. I like cute girls. She told me she was in a long term relationship and she was wary about guys cuz her last guy cheated on her and now she is not sure what to trust. There wasn't much I could say to that, I mean words means nothing. We sat there for a long time and drank coffee and talked about various things and life in general, though my thoughts may be wrong, they may even be perverted, she'll hear me out and won't easily be converted to my way of thinking. In fact she will often disagree. Those are lyrics from the song "Somebody" by Depeche Mode. Anyways, so after we were done coffee I asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner but she said no because she had to do a lot of work that night for the next day for some big project so we just said goodbye outside the coffee shop but I was able to kiss her before she left. I have been chatting with her all the time now on the phone and gonna see her again this weekend.

Back from France

Hello everyone, let me start by apologizing for the big 60 day gap between blog posts. I was in France for the last 2 months. I won a cooking contest and won a trip to France to go spend some time at the Cordon Bleu school in Paris. It was the most amazing time wow. I really like French girls now, ok well I always did heh. I learned a lot when I was there and met a lot of cool people and ate a lot of good food. I canceled my online dating subscription before I left because I knew I wasn't going to be available to go on any dates cuz I would be out of the country. Now I am back and I fully intend to get back into the dating scene.

I am going to rejoin the online dating site tomorrow because today I want to spend some time thinking about everything I want to put in my profile. I also want to use some better pictures so I have to take new ones today. I am going to get my friend Peter to help me because he is a photography nut and he has like a $1000 camera and shit so not only can he take some great pics but the equipment he has will make me look like Diana Ross (movie reference from "Roxanne" starring Steve Martin).

I was still talking to some of the girls I met on the site and went on dates with but none of those girls are really relationship material in my mind so I have basically let those conversations go stale and I am thinking I am just going to start over and talk to new girls with my newly improved profile. There are lots of new people that join the site everyday and because it has been almost two months I know there are hundreds of new girls for me to look at. Perhaps this was the way things were meant to be. Perhaps me going to France was exactly what I needed to do timing wise in order to meet the girl of my dreams on the online dating site. Perhaps if I stayed here I would have ended up hooking up permanently with one of the girls I was courting and then 5 years down the line the relationship would have ended badly. I know I am just speculating but that is usually how my luck goes. I was feeling like wow I am lucky to have won this award but it wasn't luck it was skill. At any rate, I will update this blog again very soon once I redo my profile and send out some messages to some girls. I doubt anything substantial is going to happen this weekend cuz it is already Friday and my shit still isn't even up yet. I will probably just chill with the boys this weekend, I mean UFC is tomorrow night anyways.

Saturday night was a cool night because I went clubbing with that girl Trudy I was telling you about. The one is who only 25 but is cute and knows how to cook. First we hit up a pub of sorts and drank some beers and had some honey garlic wings and chatted about food. Being a cook, I could talk about food and cooking for hours on end and never get bored. Not only am I a cook, but I really love to eat and so that makes for a great combination. There were a lot of other people in the pub when we went there because they were still wrapping up dinner and there were a lot of guys there that I could notice checking her out. I felt good about this because it meant it was a big ego stroke for me and I like to have my ego stroked among other things

We stayed at the pub until 10pm and they were playing really good music. When I say good music I mean they were playing rock from the 60's, 80's, 90's and modern stuff like The Killers and Kings of Leon. I really like both of those bands a lot but I also like dance club music or whatever you want to call it. I like house music and I also like trance and when I go to a club I can totally get into that kind of music but if I am on my own there is no way that I would be playing that kind of music.

The club was bouncing. It was really packed, so packed that it was shoulder to shoulder and it was tough to move around but eventually we squeezed our way to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. We then muscled our way into the very center of the dance floor and danced for a long time was really fun. I kept going and fetching us more drinks and every time I went through the crowd I could feel girls looking at me and I was like damn this must be my night. I must be radiating some kind of mystical higher value that they are all picking up on. It was a pretty cool feeling and it was very good for my ego. The thing is that once you finally reach the bar then you have to wait there wedged sideways between the people on the left and the people on the right. One time I was at the bar and I was wedged between 2 smoking hot girls and their tits were rubbing on my arm and they were laughing and talking to each other kind of through or over me and a few times they were touching me and I was god damn this is awesome.

At the end of the night we left and found ourselves a taxi and she turned to me in the taxi and was like "Let's go to my place" and I was like sure. So we arrive at her apartment building and she lives on the 10th floor. I was just standing there beside her while she was fumbling through her purse for her keys and then she just stopped and looked up at me then reached out with her hand and grabbed my face and then kissed me and I was like ok cool. We went upstairs and as soon as we walked in the door she started kissing me again and then we did that thing that you see in the movies where two people will start at the door kissing and not stop kissing until they reach the bedroom as they rip their clothing off. It was an awesome night and I remember waking up the next morning with a huge grin on my face. Man I love internet dating. I am too tired to talk about my other date on Sunday so I will leave that for another post.

Well that totally sucked. I got the stomach flu really bad and I have been out of commission for like 2 weeks. Finally this week I am feeling better. Tonight is Friday night and I feel ok but I think I will be 100% tomorrow so I want to save myself for then so I can do it up hard ya know. I am going out clubbing tomorrow with this girl Trudy that I met online. She is a real blond, I haven't seen that many true blonds in Philadelphia. I am not sure hwy that is but it is a rarity that I have observed because I guess I am very observant or at least I think I am hehe. She is 25 and she works at the mall in some retail store. Yeah I know she doesn't have much ambition but she is cute as hell and she said she knows how to cook. So if things go well clubbing with her we will put her to the test and see just how good she can cook

I have also been chatting with this girl named Kathy who is a redhead and who is 27 years old. She works in a dentist office as a receptionist and she is very dainty. She is quite thin and looks kind of fragile and she has a very soft voice. I think it is sexy as hell but she thinks that people look at her like she is weak or a weirdo or something. I guess her voice is a little high pitched and can sound kind of weird and maybe that is one of the reasons she is so shy but I think it's really cute and the fact that she is really hot and has huge natural breasts makes it cute, otherwise if she was not so hot it would not be so cute. I am not sure if it is something I could tolerate long term but man I want to bang her hard.

I am also talking to a girl named Betty and she is really hot too. Her name is so old fashioned and I always think of Betty from the Flintstones especially because she has short 50's style black hair just like Betty from the show did. She is anything like her though because this Betty has facial piercings and tattoos and dresses kind goth and over the top. She too is really thin and tall and she has a nice booty on her which seems really out of place but I am not complaining. I am going to take her to the movies on Sunday.

Shift into 5th gear

It is now the year 2010 and I am back with a vengeance yo! I decided that I want to find a new job. My boss is a real mean guy and I think I can do better somewhere else. Also the rest of the kitchen staff where I work are really sloppy and lazy and I just can't run a kitchen with that kind of help so I have been talking to the owners of several restaurants in town and a few of them are considering letting their chef go and bringing me on. This of course means that I would be taking someone else's job from them but I don't care because I need to look out for number one.

I also want to meet a girl that can cook, because every girl I have been with is always wanting me to do all the cooking of course and as much as I love to cook for people, it would be nice to be cooked for, to be waited on once in a while. Also I want to make sure the girl can cook WELL because I don't want to be eating crappy food.

I have a couple new girls I have been chatting with online and I am going to be going on a few dates this week. Things have been slow in the love department because of the holidays - everyone is busy including myself but I am ready to kick things into high gear now. I will update again once I have something lined up for sure or after the date so I can give you guys the low down on how it went. I am definitely going to be going clubbing this weekend and I hope I can meet a girl from online there and we can club together.

UFC 107 and a girl who likes MMA

My friends are all like what's up Josh and I am like yo I am busy chatting with girl online and it sounds like some gay scene from Napolean Dynamite but it is true. Why go out to bars and stuff when it is so much easier and cheaper to meet girls online. You get to find out lots of stuff about them and qualify them before you ever spend time going to meet them. To me this seems like a much more efficient use of time. So about this Austrian girl Rhonda... I am going to take her out on Friday night for dinner etc. I will let you know how that goes.

Yesterday I met a girl online named Vicky who is a big mma fan. This is the first girl that I have met who is actually into mixed martial arts. Speaking on mma, I hope you all watched UFC 107 last night cuz it was free and on tv. If you haven't watched it yet and don't want spoilers then stop reading this blog now. First I wanna talk about the Frank Mir vs Cheik Congo fight cuz that was the best fight and cuz my buddy bet $100 on Franky. I was worried that Mir would not be able to stand and trade with Congo and I had said to him just as the fight was starting that he better get him to the ground and not trade with him on the feet. I was however surprised when shortly into the first round Mir clipped Congo on the chin with a punch and it sent him flying to the ground. At first I thought that he had rocked him, but in the replay you could see that Kongo was fine and actually had kicked Mir in the legs as Mir was coming down on him. Congo tried to stand up and got caught in a guillotine. It started as a standing guillotine and then Mir sort of fell to his back and had one foot on the cage. It seemed like Kongo was about to pull his head out but Mir kept squeezing knowing that if Congo did get his head out, Mir would have been eating a lot of ground and pound and I am not sure he would have been able to survive that attack from the top. Eventually Congo just went to sleep, he never tapped out and the ref had to light his arm up and drop it like old school WWF style. Powned bizznatch!

The main event was of course BJ Penn vs Diago Sanchez. When I watched UFC Countdown they showed what insane crazy shape BJ was in and that he got these two awesome personal trainers to come and help him and they said they were focusing on his nervous system which I thought was an interesting approach. So most of the fight was pretty lame. Sanchez has shitty stand up and never really even got close to hitting Penn at all. Sanchez kept trying to take Penn down - I mean he tried to take him down like 20 times and everytime he failed. Penn would just stand there and hop around on one foot while Sanchez would cling to a single or double arm. It was pretty lame until the 5th round when BJ Penn kicked Sanchez in the head with a high kick and opened up a massive 2 inch long cut on his forehead. A few minutes later Herb Dean called timeout to look at the cut and with one look from the doctor he waived it off and it was all over. Just like Joe Rogan said, the only fighter that is going to be able to beat BJ Penn will be someone with advanced striking skills and the ability to prevent takedowns. I will tell you more about Vicky later cuz I have to go now.

Well I heard from that girl Pepper and she was unhappy that I didn't go up to her place with her that night and bang her. So much for being the nice guy pfft. The other night when I was at work I was making creme brulee and it was pissing me off because it wasn't turning out and I was getting stressed out. Almost felt like I had a panic attack because I had to go out into the back alley and get some air. Felt like I was having pains in my chest like a heart attack. I wonder if anyone in my family ever had any problems like this before? Anyways I met a new girl online named Sarah and she says that she really likes food and is a pretty good cook. I always chuckle when people say they are good cooks cuz I know they suck compared to my culinary skills. I think I want to have my own cooking/food show on tv. I will just travel around and do stuff and people will be like w00t. I am starting to get sick of cooking in this kitchen. I don't have any decent help around me and the owner is a dick. Well he is an alcoholic and he acts like a dick when he drinks so you do the math. I heard this song today about this guy who's dad had dementia and was like shit that would suck if I ever met someone with dementia. He also said his mom battled cancer for over 7 years and eventually she died and he drank all kinds of scotch the night she died and thanked her for everything she did and how he was all bitter at his dad. I am not sure where I am going with this but sometimes when I am cooking I have a lot of time to think. I think I want to start to study transcendental meditation and start to read some Deepak Chopra. I also think I need to start wearing sandals. I have always liked sandals. I never wore Birkenstocks as a kid but I always wanted to cuz they were cool but for some reason I never got them.

I met an Austrian girl named Rhonda who is here for one year studying abroad. It is very interesting the different types of girls that I am meeting online. I was pretty skeptical about internet dating before I joined. Honestly I don't pick up girls in real life anymore now that I can do it so easily online. It is easy to spend $50-$100 going out to a club just looking for a girl. It is much easier to join a good online dating site and do all the searching without spending time and money at a bar. Even though they have a monthly fee it is still cheaper and easier then going out to meet girls. Also you can juggle 10+ girls at once so you always have stuff on the go and none of them know each other I wish I would have started to date online much sooner.

Old friends from highschool ftw

Not much happened with that girl Mika. After the movie we made out a bit on my couch and then eventually I drove her home. She said she wanted to take things slow so whatever. She can move as slow as she wants. My speed aint slowing down for no one. I will continue to pursue other chicks. Sorry it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post. Been really busy at work and with some other bullshit stuff. I burnt my hand at work last week and it still hurts now a bit. Was a real pain in the ass to go out partying on the weekend with my hand being damaged etc but I still had a good time.

On Saturday night I took this girl out named Pepper. Yes Pepper is her real name, her parents were hippies. She was really short and petite and had a really cute smile and short choppy crop top style brown hair. She was totally into the same emo faggy type music that I like so that was a good thing. She looked kinda rugged and immature in her pics online so I decided to just take her to Appleby's for dinner and figured we would go club hopping after that. We didn't even drink anything at the restaurant and I was wondering if she was gonna think I was cheap cuz I took her to such a regular place and not some fancy restaurant. She seemed cool with it. When we left Appleby's she said she wanted to smoke a joint before we started to drink and hit the clubs etc and I was like I didn't bring any with me, and she was like no worries and pulled a joint out of her purse which I thought was a bit odd and I was like whatev let's burn this mofo. So we got baked out of our minds which I hate to do before going to a club because sometimes it makes me paranoid and anti-social which are the two traits you don't want to bring with you to a club. Shyness is nice, and shyness can stop you, from doing all the things in life you'd like to. (smiths quote for you newbs)

First we went to a club in Philly called "Shampoo" and then after that we went to "Transit Night Club". Had a lot of fun dancing and shit. All they played was trance and electronic which I don't mind but I was surprised to see this girl dancing so much when she swore that she was into rock and 90's alternative. A bit of an enigma she was. I noticed a lot of guys checking her out. I was checking out a lot of girls in the place to see what I might be missing and there were definitely some hotties up in that mofo. I ran into an old friend from high school in there named Peter and he was telling me he is big into paintball and wanted to hook up and go paintballing sometime which I thought was cool. Never done that before and will be cool to hang out with my old friend again. He just recently moved back to Philly after having lived out in Cali for a while with some girl but that relationship didn't work out. I told him about the online dating site I use now and introduced him to my date and his eyes opened wide and he said he was gonna sign up as soon as he got home. Hopefully this means we could go on some double dates sometime.

Toward the end of the night my date was getting pretty drunk, well we were both getting pretty drunk but she was showing it a lot more than I was. I was fine and could have kept going, but she was getting pretty wobbly so I thought I better call it a night before she got sick and hurled on my nice shoes We took a taxi back to her place and she totally wanted me to come upstairs with her but I wasn't sure if she really knew what she was talking about and I thought I better just leave things as they are and not bang her, and if she really DID want to sleep with me, it would simply mean that she would want me even more for turning her away. I will let you know the deal on that once I hear from her... hmm it is already Tuesday morning - I think I am gonna message her and see whats up.

Japanese girl surprised me with Oldboy

I met this girl name Miki online who is Japanese. She said she loves Korean movies and told me about a movie called Oldboy which I had never seen. I told her she should rent the dvd and then come over to my place on Saturday afternoon and we could watch it and then I would take her out for dinner afterward. I decided to drive over and pick her up. I have never dated a Japanese girl before but I have dealt with some Japanese businessmen now and then so I assumed she would be very humble and polite like most Japanese people I have met. I was right.

She was nice and thin and had long black hair. Dressed in nice tight jeans etc. She didn't look like a traditional Japanese girl but she acted like one. She was very quiet and polite and I was wondering if perhaps I had made a mistake hooking up with a chick that was so mild mannered because that is totally not my personality. I also expected the movie to be hella gay.

WOW was I wrong. The movie was amazing and totally the opposite of what I expected. It is about this guy who has a wife and kids and he gets nabbed one rainy night when he is drunk. They take him and hold him in this private prison which is a hotel. He has no idea why he is being held captive and he watches on TV that his wife and child are murdered and that they pin it on him even though the police can not find him. While he is in this hotel prison, they spray into the room hallucinogenic gas which makes him trip out constantly and kind of go semi-nuts. He does have television in there. Once a week they would gas him and he would pass out, then they would come into the room, clean up the room, clean him up, shave him etc.

He decides to start working out and punching and kicking the wall to the point where his knuckles are all bloody and grow these crazy callouses on them so he can hit really hard. He also starts to dig his way out of the place by using a chopstick to carve out the stuff around the bricks. They serve him the same spring rolls every single day he is in there. He finally gets one brick out and can feel the rain outside with his hand. He has now been trapped in there for 15 years.

Then instead of him busting himself out, they just decide to just let him out. So he wakes up on a rooftop inside of a cello case dressed in nice clothing etc and he must figure out who held him captive and why. He goes to every restaurant in the city and tries all the spring rolls until he finds the right ones. So he follows the delivery driver to the hotel prison thing and takes a hammer into the place and goes nuts on the guy and rips his teeth out etc... yeah I know totally not what I was expecting.

I will finish this post later - need to go out for lunch now with some friends.

Last night I took the redhead named Sharon to La Baia Bistro on Lombard St. I say took, but for some reason she wanted to meet me there. This was my first date with a girl I had met online so I figured this type of meeting arrangement was standard fare. I am familiar with this french restaurant but I have never been there before. My other chef buddies though told me it was great... we shall see.. being a chef myself, I have very high expectations of french cuisine, especially at the price they charge. Remember I can cook anything you see in a fancy restaurant at home for a fraction of the price... not that I can't afford it, I just know how much it really costs to make these dishes.... ok enough with the I am a cheapo rant.

I walk in an tell her I am joining someone and quickly scan the room. I notice her at a table on her cell phone. What the heck, why is she on her cell phone I thought... hopefully giggling with a friend etc - I will never know. I approach the table and she stands up to give me a hug/kiss type of deal and my only thought was wow she has huge breasts... and I think they are fake. I do not like fake breasts... now I am going to spend the entire night wondering if they are real or not sigh... I decided to get this out of the way and she said yes they are fake. At that point I was heartbroken and was totally looking at her differently now. I ordered a rum and coke and I don't remember what she had.

The food was good, and I am glad it was good because that was the only thing that was good about the evening. Even though her face was attractive I simply couldn't get over the fact that she had fake breasts I was tempted to say I was going to the bathroom and just leave lol. I decided to stick it out though and last the whole evening. I was half listening to her as she rambled on about her life story... blah blah blah... I don't remember half the stuff she said and the half I do remember was totally uninteresting.

After dinner as we were walking toward the exit of the restaurant she said lets go to 12 Steps Down which is a club/bar/lounge down on Christian st but I lied and told her I had a pounding headache and that we should call it a night. She said Oh... and then just stood there frozen in shock, I reached forward gave her a kiss on the cheek and said something useless then turned and walked toward my car. I didn't want to turn and look back but I'm pretty sure she was still just standing there in disbelief. So my first date with someone I met online didn't go so well... perhaps I need to ask these girls a few questions before I go wasting my time on someone fake.

Smile Like You Mean It

I love The Killers. I've always wanted to meet a girl who loves the killers also. One of my favorite songs is Smile Like You Mean It. I see people everyday smile without meaning it. So I decided today to only smile when I meant it and I went on a smilefest going up to people and randomly smiling to see what their reaction would be. I was surprised although I shouldn't be that people could not help but smile back. I found this girl who was dressed in all black with piercings etc... she looked young and was trying to act sullen and angry. I went up to her and just started smiling, at first she was like wtf, but then she started smiling, and then started blushing. We talked for about 10 minutes and she gave me her phone number. She said she was 18 and was working at Walmart instead of going to school. I never really got to the heart of the reason why but perhaps she will let me know later. Sometimes my friends think that I am an EMO fag but I just think I am sensitive and more aware of things than they are if that makes any sense. I went over to Bistro Romano on Lombard St to visit my friend who is a chef there and told him the story of the smiling and the goth girl and he just lol'd. He is the only one that gets me heh but perhaps that's because he is a bit like me too... he likes the killers. I continued on walking on the way to work with my ipod on and the killers playing in my head smiling at everyone who pasts. At one point, I am talking EVERYONE, even dudes. One guy actually got mad and said something but of course I didn't hear anything cuz I had my music on. Tomorrow I am going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to pickup chicks, I mean to soak up some art

My name is Josh and I decided to create this blog as a way of expressing myself and allowing other people to have a peek at my life. I am 29 years old, I am a chef, and I live in Philadelphia. I used to live in Harrisburg and have to take the Schuylkill Expressway everyday downtown to work but not anymore. Since I have moved downtown, my personal life has totally exploded! The ironic thing is that I am meeting more girls online than in real life. I have been dating lots of girls I have met in the city, but I have yet to go on a date with someone I met online yet... I say yet... because I have a date with a cute redhead who is 27 and lives in Philly as well. I already know a lot about her from chatting her up online etc but I won't really know what she's like until we meet.
