Japanese girl surprised me with Oldboy

I met this girl name Miki online who is Japanese. She said she loves Korean movies and told me about a movie called Oldboy which I had never seen. I told her she should rent the dvd and then come over to my place on Saturday afternoon and we could watch it and then I would take her out for dinner afterward. I decided to drive over and pick her up. I have never dated a Japanese girl before but I have dealt with some Japanese businessmen now and then so I assumed she would be very humble and polite like most Japanese people I have met. I was right.

She was nice and thin and had long black hair. Dressed in nice tight jeans etc. She didn't look like a traditional Japanese girl but she acted like one. She was very quiet and polite and I was wondering if perhaps I had made a mistake hooking up with a chick that was so mild mannered because that is totally not my personality. I also expected the movie to be hella gay.

WOW was I wrong. The movie was amazing and totally the opposite of what I expected. It is about this guy who has a wife and kids and he gets nabbed one rainy night when he is drunk. They take him and hold him in this private prison which is a hotel. He has no idea why he is being held captive and he watches on TV that his wife and child are murdered and that they pin it on him even though the police can not find him. While he is in this hotel prison, they spray into the room hallucinogenic gas which makes him trip out constantly and kind of go semi-nuts. He does have television in there. Once a week they would gas him and he would pass out, then they would come into the room, clean up the room, clean him up, shave him etc.

He decides to start working out and punching and kicking the wall to the point where his knuckles are all bloody and grow these crazy callouses on them so he can hit really hard. He also starts to dig his way out of the place by using a chopstick to carve out the stuff around the bricks. They serve him the same spring rolls every single day he is in there. He finally gets one brick out and can feel the rain outside with his hand. He has now been trapped in there for 15 years.

Then instead of him busting himself out, they just decide to just let him out. So he wakes up on a rooftop inside of a cello case dressed in nice clothing etc and he must figure out who held him captive and why. He goes to every restaurant in the city and tries all the spring rolls until he finds the right ones. So he follows the delivery driver to the hotel prison thing and takes a hammer into the place and goes nuts on the guy and rips his teeth out etc... yeah I know totally not what I was expecting.
